Biography

Passionate cosplayer, latin dancer, and Star Wars fan, Lilibeth Torres fused her Puerto Rican heritage with inspiration from The Mandalorian to create her signature persona, The Boricualorian. She debuted her character at the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in 2023, sparking viral moments across TikTok and Instagram and earning recognition from both the cosplay and Puerto Rican communities. Since then, she has united and inspired Puerto Rican cosplayers across the island and diaspora, growing the multiverse of Puerto Rican representation with cosplay that is known as the BoricuaVerse.

Born in New York to parents raised in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Lili was immersed in her culture from childhood. With deep family roots and yearly trips back to the island, her identity has always been grounded in heritage, pride, and connection.

"The National Puerto Rican Day Parade feels like home to me—I’ve participated since I was a child, and it’s where I find belonging, pride, and the closest thing to my island while living in the diaspora. As a cosplayer and comic con nerd, being able to represent at the parade means the world to me. I hope it shows others the beauty and creativity our community brings to spaces we weren’t always seen in. Somos Más Que 100x35 to me means we’re far more than our small beautiful island. Wherever we’re born, Puerto Ricans have built global cultural impact, resilience, and collective pride, and we carry that superpower into everything we create."
