"Being honored by the Puerto Rican Parade is deeply meaningful to me as a proud Boricua! I grew up attending the parade year after year, feeling an overwhelming sense of joy, pride, and unity as our culture filled the streets with music, color, and strength. Those moments shaped who I am, and today my heritage is at the heart of my work—from bold colors to vibrant storytelling inspired by the island’s beauty and resilience. To now be recognized by a community that has poured so much into me is truly full circle."
