Jasmine Camacho-Quinn is a Puerto Rican-American track and field athlete specializing in the 100 meters hurdles. Born in 1996 in Ladson, South Carolina, she represents Puerto Rico in international competitions. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Camacho-Quinn won the gold medal in the 100m hurdles, setting an Olympic record in the semifinals with a time of 12.26 seconds. Her victory marked Puerto Rico's second-ever Olympic gold medal and made her the first Afro-Latina to achieve this feat for the island. Her accomplishments have brought significant pride to the Puerto Rican community and have inspired many aspiring athletes.
