Bio

Dr. Antonio A. Mignucci-Giannoni is a distinguished biological oceanographer and marine mammal specialist born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1964. He founded the Caribbean Stranding Network, an organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of stranded marine mammals, sea turtles, and seabirds in the Caribbean region. With over three decades of experience, Dr. Mignucci has significantly advanced the understanding and conservation of marine species, particularly manatees, contributing to their protection and recovery. His work encompasses research, field conservation, and education, aiming to inspire and train future generations in marine conservation.
