Bio

Alelí Medina is a remarkable young para surfer from Isabela, Puerto Rico. Despite being visually impaired, she began surfing at the age of three, inspired by her parents and her love for the ocean. In 2022, at just 13 years old, Alelí made history by winning the gold medal at the ISA World Para Surfing Championships in Pismo Beach, California, becoming the first Puerto Rican to achieve this honor. She successfully defended her title in 2023, securing her second consecutive gold medal. Alelí competes in the Vision 2 (Low Vision) category and continues to inspire many with her dedication and achievements in adaptive surfing.
