Honorees

The National Puerto Rican Day celebrates and honors the leaders, educators, artists, and celebrities that have left a cultural footprint on this nation.

Below are our 2025 Honorees. Our 2026 Class will be announced soon!

Support the NPRDP
Scholarship Fund

We've joined forces with renowned actor, singer, composer, writer, and Nuestro Orgullo Lin-Manuel Miranda and TeeRico to create merch with the parade's annual theme to raise money for the National Puerto Rican Day Scholarship Fund.

Proceeds from the sales of official parade merchandise will benefit NPRDP’s Scholarship Fund, which supports the pursuit of higher education in our community!

Items start at $25 and are available in multiple colors, you can also buy previous designs from earlier years - collect them all!

Last year’s (2025) theme was “Plantando Bandera.” The theme captures the Puerto Rican community’s collective sentiment of pride in our presence, our contributions to society and dedication to honoring and maintaining our cultural heritage and tradition. The graphic features two iconic cultural symbols: the Puerto Rican flag superimposed over a ceiba tree, where the tree’s roots extend across a globe. The theme and accompanying graphic represent how Puerto Rican culture, identity and contributions are firmly grounded in today’s society, with presence and influence that spreads across the world. They also highlight how the Puerto Rican flag is the powerful unifier that connects all of us, no matter whether in Puerto Rico or part of the global diaspora. This 2025 theme image was again designed by Puerto Rican artist Jorge Rafael Calderón.

And stay tuned for our 2026 Theme and design!
