Press Credential Applications Will Be Open
Until May 15th, 2026

 

U.S. and International Media:

 

The NPRDP press credentials application process is free and must be completed online ONLY. 

No mail-in or hard-copy applications will be accepted. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Applications will require you to provide detailed information, and upload the following materials:

  • A letter of authorization on your media outlet’s letterhead. The letter should be specific about your assignment during the Parade. (Example: journalist, announcer, photographer, crew, Etc.)

  • A passport-quality digital photo (square sized, minimum 600x600 pixels) for each participant requesting a credential – jpg, tiff, eps or pdf formats.

  • A digital copy of your media outlet’s ID card or valid NYPD press credentials is required.

  • All documents must be received by 4 PM ET on Friday, May 15th, 2026


*Submission of an application does NOT guarantee approval. You will be notified when your credential has been approved and given instructions regarding pick up. 

 

** ONLY members of the working press actively engaged in covering the parade for established news outlets, and only for news reporting purposes (not marketing, publicity, or other business purposes), qualify for credentials. Employees of media outlets employed in duties not directly related to news coverage, do not qualify. Individual "influencers" or social media personalities do not qualify for press credentials.

***Credentials will not be mailed in advance, they will be distributed in person in Puerto Rico and in NYC before the parade at a central location. The date, time, and location of the pickups will be only sent to fully registered and verified press when available.

To apply for Press Credentials to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade, please fill out the information below and submit the necessary documents and files.

Applicant must be affiliated with an established news/media organization.
All submissions will be verified. 

Please upload a signed letter on official letterhead from an established media or news organization authorizing your involvement in the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. The letter must be dated within the same calendar year as the parade, clearly state that the individual named in this application is authorized to work for the organization, and include current contact information (phone and email) for verification. Letters that are outdated, unsigned, or missing required details will not be accepted.

If you Selected yes above, please upload a clear, color image of your valid NYPD-authorized Press Credential below. The credential must be current (not expired), fully visible, and legible, showing your name, photo, and expiration date. Submit the image in JPG or PNG format. Blurry, cropped, or expired credentials will not be accepted.

Please upload a recent, high-quality color headshot showing your head and shoulders only, facing forward and looking directly at the camera. The photo must have a plain, light-colored background and a neutral expression or natural smile. No hats, sunglasses, filters, other people, logos, or distracting backgrounds are permitted. Image must be clear (not blurry) and submitted in JPG or PNG format with a minimum size of 600 x 600 pixels.
Photos that do not meet these requirements may be rejected and delay badge production.
