Shawn “Pecas” Costner is an Executive at CAA Sports, a division of leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). CAA Sports represents more than 3,000 of the world's best athletes in sports such as baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and soccer, in addition to icons in individual sports, on-air broadcasters, coaches, and other pre-eminent personalities. Beyond on-field athlete representation, CAA Sports provides unique opportunities for clients off-field, in areas including entertainment, licensing, endorsements, speaking, philanthropy, video games, and digital.  

Based in New York, Pecas has more than two decades of expertise in creating pop culture moments by tapping into passion points at the epicenter of music, sports, TV, film, and fashion. Pecas works closely with CAA’s award-winning Brand Consulting division, serving as a cultural translator for brand strategy, while helping ideate, strategize, and negotiate opportunities for clients across the agency.  

Pecas previously served as the Vice President of Player Development for Roc Nation Sports.  Previously, he served 15 years at Def Jam, where his roles included Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Vice President of Lifestyle Promotion.  Pecas got his start in the music industry in 1994 as National Director of Street Promotion for Penalty Records, and also worked as Director of Rap Promotions at V2 Records, Elektra, and Director of Urban Promotions at Arista, among other positions.  He joined CAA in 2020.

Pecas graduated from Lehman College with a degree in Business Management.
