Laura Berrocal

Laura Berrocal is the Executive Director of Policy and  Strategic Alliances at Verizon. As a senior leader within Verizon’s Responsible Business division, she helps advance and refine Verizon’s public policy positioning, leveraging strategic alliances to support a policy environment that favors both innovation and responsible business while ensuring core business objectives are reflected in national policy discussions. 


Prior to joining Verizon, Berrocal served as Vice President of Policy and External Affairs at Charter Communications (Spectrum). There, she oversaw the formulation and 

implementation of public policy and communications strategies across the company’s External Affairs division. 


Her leadership was instrumental in spearheading initiatives that influenced critical policy and business outcomes in video programming and streaming services, broadband access and deployment, and mobile expansion. Berrocal previously held the position of Director of External Affairs at CTIA, the nation’s leading wireless trade association, where she collaborated closely with public interest organizations and state and local officials to promote policies that facilitated 5G deployment and advanced consumer interests in wireless technology.  


Berrocal formerly spearheaded legislative and business development strategies at Net Communications, a boutique public affairs consultancy, where she advised a diverse portfolio of technology, energy, and media clients. She currently serves on the board of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute and is the Immediate Past President of The WICT Network’s Washington, DC/Baltimore Board, a premier organization empowering women across media, entertainment, and technology. She holds a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University and a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Temple University.
