Bio
Josie de Guzmán is an American actress and singer of Puerto Rican descent, born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico. She began her theater career at New York's Public Theater, appearing in productions like "Runaways" and "Lullabye & Goodnight." De Guzmán earned Tony Award nominations for her roles as Maria in the 1980 revival of "West Side Story" and as Sarah Brown in the 1992 revival of "Guys and Dolls." Her screen credits include appearances in "Miami Vice," "The Cosby Show," and the film "F/X." She is currently a member of the acting company at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas.
