Iván "Pudge" Rodríguez is one of the greatest catchers in Major League Baseball (MLB) history, known for his defensive skills, leadership, and powerful batting. Born in Manatí, Puerto Rico, he debuted with the Texas Rangers at just 19 years old, launching a legendary 21-season career. His quick reflexes and strong arm made him one of the best defensive catchers, holding the MLB record for most games caught (2,427). Rodríguez won multiple Gold Glove Awards and played a key role in the Florida Marlins’ 2003 World Series victory. His success and sportsmanship have inspired generations of Puerto Rican athletes.
