Amanda Serrano
Boxing trailblazer Amanda Serrano is a world champion boxer from Carolina, Puerto Rico and Brooklyn, New York. In 2023, she became the first Puerto Rican undisputed boxing champion, male or female, in history and is the only female and only Puerto Rican boxer to win world titles in seven different weight classes, earning her Guinness World Record. In April 2022, Serrano became the first woman to headline Madison Square Garden alongside Katie Taylor. She made history again in November 2024 in her rematch Taylor in the co-headliner of Most Valuable Promotion’s blockbuster Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson mega-event—earning over 74 million views and becoming the most-watched women’s sporting event in US history. She will build on that legacy live on Netflix on Friday, July 11, as she faces Taylor for the third and final time, headlining the first-ever all-women’s professional boxing card in MSG history. Outside the ring, Serrano is deeply committed to empowering youth. She authored a bilingual children’s book, donating copies to schools in Puerto Rico and the US to inspire young readers. She also partnered with the World Boxing Organization (WBO) to launch the Amanda Serrano Championships, the first all-female amateur boxing event in Puerto Rico. She has also partnered with Jake Paul’s Boxing Bullies and the WBO to renovate boxing gyms in Puerto Rico, providing youth access to boxing opportunities.
